Local Folkies at Work

Cathy Barton, Dave Para, and Bob Dyer, festival organizers and popular Missouri minstrels, will be back for concert sets on both nights. Cathy and Dave have enjoyed some favorable reviews and generous airplay of their latest album released in time for the festival last spring. The road and the many people along it have been very kind to them. Bob spent too much of last summer researching and writing about the history of Missouri business and industry for as part of a series of books about the 50 states. The occasional trio played for the first time at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kan., and at the first-ever RebStock Civil War music festival at Vicksburg, Miss., along that other large river bordering Missouri.
