Missouri Folk Arts Program

One of the highlights of our festival in the past two years has been the presentation from the Missouri Folk Arts masters/apprentices program demonstrating many living folk traditions in music, dance, story and craft. This year, the program has seven master/apprentice teams to draw from for a performance, and those masters include Bob Holt, Ava., and Cliff Bryan, Pamona, for traditional fiddling: Alvie Dooms, Ava, for guitar accompaniment; Delores Santha, St. Louis, for Native American storytelling; Christa Robbins for bobbin lace-making; Carmen Dence, St Louis, for Colombian dance; and Larry McNally, St. Louis, for Irish accordion playing. So come ready to get inspired and get involved.
